Description
ReimonenQ is a Guadeloupe agricole distillery, and Les Freres de la Cote is a French selector with a taste for energetic, well-priced young rum. This Dynamique 2020 pairs the two: fresh cane-juice spirit from a column still, finished briefly in Port casks and bottled at a vigorous 50%.
The nose leans on sugarcane with nutty, woody and floral touches, and a faint coastal, almost saline lift. The palate keeps that cane core but folds in licorice, orange and the soft red-fruit influence of the Port wood, before a dry finish carrying anise and dried fruit. This is a rum that trades polish for liveliness, young and unmistakably agricole in style, rewarding drinkers who enjoy the raw, grassy energy of a fresh Guadeloupe pour over the smoothness of long ageing.
