Leopold’s Small Batch Gin

Leopold's is made at the Leopold Bros distillery in Denver, Colorado, and its method is its signature. Rather than throwing every botanical into one still, each ingredient, juniper, coriander, angelica root, citrus fruits and floral notes among them, is distilled separately, then blended and married afterwards. It is slow, exacting work, but it yields a gin of unusual balance, where no single element overpowers the rest.

The nose is fresh and elegant, juniper and citrus lifted by a hint of lavender and other florals. The palate is soft and complex, spicy juniper meeting bright citrus and slightly sweet floral accents over a fine herbal depth. The finish is long and smooth with a light peppery note and a refreshing flick of citrus. Lovely in a Gin & Tonic, where its delicacy shines, or in a Tom Collins on a warm afternoon.
