Distilled on column stills from molasses and rested briefly in Ex-Bourbon oak, it shows an unusually vegetal, herbaceous character: green peppers, fresh fruit and wood on the nose, then dark berries and a minty edge on the palate, finishing grassy and citrussy with more dark fruit. It is leaner and more savoury than many Cuban whites, with a green, herbal streak that sets it apart. Its sugar status is undisclosed, but the profile reads dry and grassy rather than sweet.
