Le Paradou is a first press Côtes de Provence rosé blending Cinsault, Grenache and Vermentino from vineyards an hour from Marseille. Pale pink and fermented in stainless steel, it shows ripe strawberry, watermelon and a citrus lift, dry and refreshing throughout.
Description
Le Paradou comes from the heart of Provence, a region that long ago shifted from red and white production to the pale dry rosés it is now known for. The estate sits around an hour from Marseille and draws on Cinsault, Grenache and Vermentino, a blend that balances red fruit, body and aromatic freshness. This is a first press cuvée, meaning only the free run and lightest pressings are used, which keeps the colour pale and the texture clean. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel, preserving primary fruit and avoiding any oak influence. The Mediterranean climate ripens the grapes fully while the limestone-influenced soils and coastal air retain acidity. The wine pours a pale summer pink. The nose offers ripe strawberry and juicy watermelon with a citrus edge and a hint of white flowers. The palate is dry and light bodied, with crisp acidity framing the fruit and a clean, faintly mineral finish. Serve chilled at 8 to 10 degrees. It suits an aperitif and partners grilled fish, shellfish, summer salads and fresh goat cheese.
