Description

Larios has been a fixture of Spanish gin for more than 150 years, and this Mediterranea expression carries that history lightly. The distillation runs in two separate passes, the juniper base drawn off first and the citrus second, a method that keeps the orange and lemon notes vivid and the spirit unusually clean. Classic botanicals such as coriander, cinnamon and angelica root sit underneath, framing the fruit rather than crowding it.

The nose is fresh with lemon, orange and juniper over a soft herbal-floral note. The palate is dry and balanced, citrus freshness meeting spicy juniper and a faint sweetness, before a smooth, clean finish. Easygoing and versatile, it makes a bright summer G&T with Mediterranean tonic and a twist of orange or a sprig of rosemary.
