Mackillop's Choice selects single casks at natural strength, named for cask custodian Lorne Mackillop is an independent bottler. A 25 year old Laphroaig, from cask 11729, this was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2016., from the Single Cask - Cask Strength range.

It spent twenty-five years in ex-Bourbon, long enough to round the famous Laphroaig smoke.

At 48.5%, undiluted, the American oak gives a vanilla lift. It carries smoke, a coal-gas edge, an oily texture, tobacco, citrus, dried fruit.
