Description

Douglas Laing has bottled single casks from its Glasgow base since Fred Laing founded the firm in 1948. This 21 year old Laphroaig came off the stills in 1988 and was bottled in 2009. in The Old Malt Cask range.

A turn in Oloroso over twenty-one years folds the wine cask through its medicinal south-Islay peat.

At its natural 52.1%, fig, raisin and walnut rise from the Oloroso. Tarry smoke and sea-salt, unmistakably south-shore Islay.
