Malts of Scotland has built a name on natural-strength single casks. The cask was filled in 1999 and bottled in 2019, a 20 year old Laphroaig, from cask MoS 20001., part of the MoS Warehouseshop series.

Held in Oloroso for twenty years, the cask steeps its oily, tarry smoke in dried fruit.

Bottled at cask strength, 54.4%, the Oloroso lends a raisined, figgy depth. The profile runs to dried fruit, a sherried character, smoke, a coal-gas edge, old wood, a medicinal edge.
