Description
La Maison du Whisky has been Paris's leading whisky house since 1956, a retailer and bottler with deep ties to Scotland and Japan. A 20 year old Laphroaig, from cask 10494, this was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2019., from the Artist #9 range.
Time in ex-Bourbon, twenty years of it, frames its phenolic, medicinal smoke.
At 54.7%, undiluted, the American oak gives a vanilla lift. Seaweed, smoke and iodine in the Laphroaig manner.
