Description
Adelphi revived a historic Glasgow distilling name as a small independent bottler, hand-numbering its single casks. This 20 year old Laphroaig, from cask 6581, came off the stills in 1996 and was bottled in 2017., part of the Limited series.
Aged twenty years in ex-Bourbon, the oak rounds the smoky, antiseptic make.
Bottled at cask strength, 57.1%, vanilla from years in the bourbon barrel. The peat reads medicinal and oily, iodine cutting through.
