Description
Berry Bros & Rudd began bottling spirits under its own label in the early 19th century, and trades still from 1698 premises. The cask was filled in 1990 and bottled in 2008, a 18 year old Laphroaig, from cask 2248., part of the Berrys' Own Selection.
An ex-Bourbon cask and eighteen years shape the tarry, iodine-laced spirit.
At 55.6%, undiluted, the bourbon oak lends vanilla. A coastal, medicinal smoke carries through to the finish.
