Description
The Whisky Cellar is the independent house of Keith Bonnington, a former Whisky Shop buyer turned bottler. This 16 year old Laphroaig comes from cask 42, part of the Pintail series.
A turn in Oloroso over sixteen years folds the wine cask through its phenolic, medicinal smoke.
Bottled undiluted at 47.5%, dried fruit and a dry nuttiness from the Oloroso. The peat reads medicinal and oily, iodine cutting through.
