Description
Malts of Scotland bottles single casks at natural strength from its German base. The cask was filled in 2004 and bottled in 2020, a 16 year old Laphroaig, from cask MoS 20039.
Sixteen years in Caribbean Rum layer the cask onto Laphroaig's coastal, medicinal character.
Bottled undiluted at 55.1%, the rum cask lends molasses and a tropical sweetness. It carries chocolate, a coal-gas edge, dried fruit, honey, a medicinal edge, a mossy note.
