Moon-Import was founded in 1980 by Pepi Mongiardino and ranks among Italy's most revered independents, famous for themed series like The Birds. This 16 year old Laphroaig came off the stills in 1980 and was bottled in 1996., from the Dovr-Toutes-Mares range.
Aged sixteen years in ex-Bourbon, the oak rounds the brine-soaked peat smoke.
Bottled at cask strength, 50%, soft vanilla comes from the ex-Bourbon. The peat is oily and phenolic, brine underneath.
