The Character of Islay Whisky Company is an Islay-focused independent celebrating the island's peated style. This 15 year old Laphroaig, from cask 11693, came off the stills in 2004 and was bottled in 2020., from The Stories of Wind and Wave range.

Fifteen years in ex-Bourbon let the oak work its medicinal south-Islay peat.

At 50.2%, undiluted, the ex-Bourbon adds a vanilla sweetness. Medicinal smoke, kelp and tar in the house style.
