James MacArthur has been a familiar independent name since the 1980s, bottling single casks at natural strength. This 13 year old Laphroaig, from cask 700234, was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2012. in the Old Master's - Cask Strength Selection.
Time in ex-Bourbon, thirteen years of it, frames the smoky, antiseptic make.
Bottled at cask strength, 56%, the cask lends vanilla and a touch of honey. A coastal, medicinal smoke carries through to the finish.
