Elixir Distillers grew from Sukhinder Singh's collecting into a bottler and, lately, a distiller. The cask was filled in 2015 and bottled in 2025, a 10 year old Laphroaig. in The Single Malts of Scotland - Small Batch range.
Ten years in ex-Bourbon let the oak work its peaty, maritime character.
Bottled undiluted at 48%, the bourbon oak lends vanilla. The profile runs to smoke, leather, a medicinal edge, chocolate, a coal-gas edge, a kippery edge.
