Dry, structured and unmistakably London, with peppery juniper leading and bright lemon and orange threading through fine herbs. The eighth recipe Langley settled on after long trials, distilled small-batch in a century-old copper pot still. A clean, classical gin with a saline edge that makes it a natural alongside oysters.

Description
Langley Distillery in the Midlands has been turning out characterful gins for well over a hundred years, and No. 8 is exactly what its name suggests: the eighth recipe the team arrived at, chosen as the right balance of strength and poise. Eight classic botanicals go in, among them Italian juniper, coriander seed, angelica, liquorice and cassia, distilled in small batches in a traditional copper pot still for clarity and depth.
The nose is clean and expressive, juniper forward with citrus freshness and a spicy undertow. The palate is dry and properly aromatic, peppery accents over light lemon and orange and a fine herbal core, before a long, structured finish carries a fresh dryness. An honest all-rounder, it is at its best in a gin and tonic with a dry tonic and a twist of lemon zest.
