Description
Celler La Salada works in the Penedès of Catalonia, and this wine comes from its Vinyes Insòlites range, made from recovered old vines of local grapes. It blends Malvasía de Sitges and Malvasía Rosa, two aromatic Mediterranean varieties long tied to the region. The estate farms biodynamically and makes the wine as a natural one, without corrections and with minimal intervention in the cellar. After fermentation it is aged for twelve months in glass demijohns, an inert vessel that adds no flavour of its own and gives no oxygen exchange, so the wine keeps its bright fruit and the clear aromatic signature of the Malvasía grapes. The colour is pale, bright yellow. The nose is vibrant and floral, with crisp green apple and juicy summer pear over white flowers, rose and a note of elderflower. The palate is fresh and light-bodied at 13 percent, with a clean line of acidity and a dry, gently textured finish. This is an aromatic, unadorned white that shows its grape and place directly. Serve well chilled at 8 to 10 degrees.

Additional information
The floral, fresh style makes a good aperitif and pairs with grilled white fish and shellfish. It also suits fresh goat's cheese and a green salad. Serve chilled with a plate of steamed mussels.
