La Liqueur de Monin Mûre

La Liqueur de Monin Mure is a blackberry liqueur from Monin, the French house from Bourges that supplies the bar trade. It gathers the full flavour of ripe blackberries at 16% in the 700ml bottle, built on blackberry extracts in the traditional macerated style for a deep, dark fruitiness with a smooth, balanced profile.

The nose is intensely fruity, blackberry with wild berry notes and a hint of vanilla, the palate sweet and juicy with full blackberry fruit, a balanced acidity and a gentle depth, the finish soft and long with berry freshness. In a drink it adds deep berry fruit, sweetness and a near black colour that reads well in the glass, the reason it suits a Bramble, a Blackberry Mojito or a Berry Collins. A shot also lifts sparkling wine or prosecco, and it fills tarts and pralines or thickens a fruit sauce in patisserie.
