A fresh Martinique blanc from La Favorite, the 2025 cane juice off the creole column, grassy and peppery with fresh sugarcane and a herbal, eucalyptus-edged finish, unsweetened and crisp at 48 percent.
Description
La Favorite, one of the last family-run distilleries in Martinique, releases Tje Kann as a fresh blanc each harvest, and this is the 2025 cut, made entirely from fresh-pressed sugar cane juice distilled on a creole column. As a rested AOC blanc it is all about the cane caught young, with no wood to get in the way.
The vintage shows bright and green: grass, fresh sugarcane and white pepper on the nose, a palate that stays fresh and herbal with more pepper and cane, and a finish of fresh sugarcane, herbs and a cooling eucalyptus note. Bottled unsweetened at 48 percent, it has the lively, vegetal snap that defines a young agricole blanc, peppery and dry from start to close. This is a Ti Punch base above all, lime and a dash of cane syrup framing the grass, pepper and herbal lift.
