Description
La Favorite bottles this Plaisance Canne Bleue from a single cane variety, the prized blue cane, pressed fresh and distilled on its creole column into an AOC Martinique blanc. Working from one cane type is a terroir statement, and the distillery lets it speak by resting the spirit rather than ageing it in wood.
The result is bright and floral: fresh cane, citrus and a floral lift on the nose, an oily palate that stays fresh and floral with a citrus edge, and a clean finish of fresh sugarcane and oily texture. Unsweetened at 51 percent, it is a touch fuller and softer than a fierce high-proof blanc while keeping the dry, vegetal agricole snap. A Ti Punch or a daiquiri lets the blue-cane florals and citrus carry the drink without any sweetness propping them up.
