La Favorite La Digue Récolte 2022

A white agricole from La Favorite, one of Martinique's independent family distilleries, here the La Digue single-parcel bottling from the 2022 harvest. As an AOC blanc it is pure fresh-pressed cane juice, rested rather than aged and bottled unsweetened at a lively 52%, the strength agricole blancs wear so well.

The creole column distils low to preserve the grassy, aromatic cane character, and this release is all about aromatic intensity and freshness. The nose is fresh and medium-bodied with sugar cane, citrus, light floral and a whisper of anise. The palate is oily and fresh with sugar cane at the core, minty lift and a clean lime brightness, finishing warm, oily and spicy with more citrus. Vegetal, floral and snappy rather than sweet, it is a textbook expressive blanc, excellent neat for those who like the style and outstanding in a Ti' Punch.
