Description
La Favorite is one of the last independent family distilleries in Martinique, and Brut 2 Colonnes 2023 is an overproof blanc drawn from its two-column distillation, made from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice and bottled unsweetened in the AOC tradition.
At a blistering 72.8% this is among the most powerful blancs going, yet it stays coherent and cane-focused: a fresh nose of sugarcane, floral notes and citrus, then an intense, vegetal palate with floral cane and a lemony lift, finishing floral and warm on sugarcane. The huge proof concentrates the aromatics and demands water, after which the fresh, grassy cane character opens up cleanly. A serious, bone-dry agricole for drinkers who want fresh cane juice at the very top of the proof scale.
