Kurant Crystal Vodka Export

Kurant Crystal comes from Poland's CARAT Distillery and is built around winter wheat, the grain that tends to give vodka its soft, rounded mouthfeel. The wheat is fermented and distilled into a clean base spirit, then cut with pure water to a steady 40% ABV. The aim is purity and a mild profile rather than any pronounced grain signature, which is why it reads as fresh and even rather than bold.

The nose is clean and fresh, with subtle cereal notes and a touch of minerality. On the palate it is smooth and balanced, carrying fine wheat, a hint of herbs and a light citrus lift, before a long, mild finish with a gentle sweetness. That clean citrus thread makes it a natural for a Polish-style vodka tonic: pour it long over plenty of ice with a good tonic and a ribbon of cucumber, which echoes the herbal edge and keeps the drink crisp.
