Koskenkorva Ginger Flavoured Liqueur

Koskenkorva Ginger is a ginger flavoured liqueur from Finland, built on the Koskenkorva spirit distilled in the village of Koskenkorva from barley, married to the natural spiciness of ginger and bottled at 21%. It is a more recent addition to the Koskenkorva line and carries a reduced sugar content that sets it apart from sweeter traditional liqueurs. The pairing of a clean Nordic grain base with fresh ginger heat is its defining feature.

The nose is intense ginger with citrus freshness and a hint of herbs, the palate refreshing and spicy with dominant ginger, a pleasant sweetness and a citrus undertone, finishing long and slightly spicy with gentle ginger and citrus. Behind the bar it brings ginger warmth, citrus lift and a restrained sweetness, which suits a Ginger Mojito, a gin fizz or a spiced fruity cocktail. It is good neat or over ice to show the fresh ginger. Serve it cold, or lengthen it for a refreshing spiced long drink.
