This 1975 vintage is a 39 year old anCnoc, a Limited Edition bottled in 2014, an outturn of 1,590 bottles. A rare old expression of Knockdhu distillery in Banffshire, named anCnoc to prevent confusion with Knockando.
The distillery was brought back in 1989. Matured in American oak across thirty-nine years, the wood deepened the malt over close to four decades.
Bottled at 44.2%. The oak brings vanilla and light coconut. Noted flavours include dried fruit, a dry sandy note, vanilla, chocolate, citrus and a coal-gas edge. A rare old vintage anCnoc.
