Description
This 16 Years Old, marked Rich and Sweet, is a core anCnoc from Knockdhu distillery near Huntly in Banffshire, matured in ex-Bourbon. Named anCnoc to set it apart from Knockando, it comes from one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, founded in 1894.
Knockdhu runs a single pair of stills. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over sixteen years, the oak deepen the malt with vanilla and a soft, waxy weight.
Bottled at 43%. The ex-Bourbon cask gives vanilla and coconut from vanillin and oak lactones, with a toffee edge. Expect fresh fruit, new wood and vanilla. A fresh older core anCnoc.
