Cadenhead's bottled this 9 year old 2010 Knockdhu as a Small Batch, matured in ex-Bourbon at cask strength, an outturn of 888 bottles. Where the distillery uses anCnoc, independents keep the Knockdhu name, near Knock in Banffshire. Opened in 1894, it ranks among the country's smallest distilleries.
Whisky has flowed again here since 1989. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over nine years, the oak deepen the malt with vanilla and light oak spice.
56.2%, at the cask's own strength. From the ex-Bourbon come vanilla and coconut, the full power lifting the bright fruit. A young small-batch independent bottling.
