Scotland-and-Malts bottled this 8 year old 2008 Knockdhu from ex-Bourbon cask 081709 for its Cask Collection, for Germany. Knockdhu, near Knock in Banffshire, bottles its own malt as anCnoc, while independents use the distillery name.
The house style is soft and Highland. Eight years in a single ex-Bourbon cask draw out vanilla while the spirit stays fresh and bright.
Bottled at full strength, 55.5%. Vanilla and coconut come from the bourbon oak, the cask strength lifting the bright malt. A young independent single cask.
