Description
This 21 Years Old carries the original Knockdhu name, an old Limited Edition bottled in 1999 at cask strength, an outturn of 6,200 bottles. Knockdhu distillery, at Knock in Banffshire, renamed its whisky anCnoc in the 1990s since Knockando was too close a name.
The granite distillery returned to work in 1989. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks across twenty-one years, the wood deepened the malt at full strength.
57.5%, at the cask's own strength. Vanilla and coconut come from the ex-Bourbon's vanillin and oak lactones. Noted flavours include citrus, fresh fruit, a green note, a hay-like edge, honey and a leafy lift. A full-strength Knockdhu-named edition.
