Alistair Walker, of the family behind GlenAllachie, bottled this 13 year old 2012 Knockdhu for his Infrequent Flyers range from a Port cask, number 800068, an outturn of 324 bottles. Knockdhu, at Knock in Banffshire, bottles its own malt as anCnoc, while independents use the distillery name.
Inver House fired the stills again in 1989. Matured in a Port cask, the wine wood adds plum and a drying edge.
Bottled undiluted at 57%. The Port gives plum and cherry with a jammy sweetness over the fresh malt. A Port-matured Infrequent Flyers single cask.
