Duncan Taylor bottled this 11 year old 2012 Knockdhu for its Octave range from cask 11538144, an outturn of 90 bottles for Germany. The Octave finishes whisky in small fifty-litre casks. The distillery at Knock, in Banffshire sells its malt as anCnoc; bottlers like this use the Knockdhu name.
Inver House revived the site in 1989. The small octave cask works quickly on the malt over a final maturation.
Cask strength, 54.5%. Expect chocolate, citrus, a green note and honey over the fresh malt. An Octave-finished independent single cask.
