Meadowside Blending bottled this 10 year old 2013 Knockdhu for The Maltman from ex-Bourbon cask 128, an outturn of 295 bottles. Knockdhu, in the Banffshire countryside, sells its own malt as anCnoc; independents use the distillery name.
Production resumed under Inver House in 1989. Over ten years the ex-Bourbon cask deepens the fresh malt with vanilla and light toffee.
At cask strength, 52.3%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla. The profile runs to citrus, chocolate, cooked fruit, honey, a leathery note and an oily texture. An independent single cask.
