Description
This Slow Matured 18 Years Old was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2019, matured in ex-Bourbon, the name reflecting Knockando's matured not aged philosophy. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, is the heart of the J&B blend.
Diageo-owned now, Knockando produces a light, fine Speyside spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks across eighteen years, the wood deepened the malt.
Bottled at 43%. The ex-Bourbon cask gives vanilla and coconut from vanillin and oak lactones, with a toffee edge. The recorded notes run to a sherried hint, citrus, a nutty edge, chocolate, cooked fruit and dried fruit. An older vintage Knockando.
