Description
This Slow Matured 18 Years Old was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2016 for Spain, matured in Oloroso sherry, the name reflecting Knockando's matured not aged philosophy. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, is the heart of the J&B blend.
Now owned by Diageo, the distillery makes a light, fine Speyside spirit that takes sherry well. Matured in Oloroso casks across eighteen years, the sherry wood deepened the malt.
Bottled at 43%. The Oloroso gives dried fruit, melanoidins reading as fig and raisin, with a walnut dryness over the soft Speyside malt. A sherried older vintage.
