Knockando Slow Matured 18 Years Old 1988

This Slow Matured 18 Years Old was distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2006, matured in Oloroso sherry. The Slow Matured name reflects Knockando's matured not aged philosophy. The heart of the J&B blend, Knockando was founded in Speyside in 1898 and bottles by vintage.

Now owned by Diageo, the distillery makes a light, fine Speyside spirit that takes sherry well. Matured in Oloroso casks across eighteen years, the sherry wood deepened the malt.

Bottled at 43%. The Oloroso gives dried fruit, melanoidins reading as fig and raisin, with tannins adding a walnut dryness over the soft Speyside malt. A sherried older vintage.
