This Richly Matured 15 Years Old was distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2020, matured in ex-Bourbon. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, is the heart of the J&B blend and bottles by vintage in a matured not aged style.
Under Diageo today, the distillery makes a light, fine Speyside malt. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks across fifteen years, the wood frames the malt.
Bottled at 43%. From the ex-Bourbon come vanilla and coconut, its vanillin and oak lactones, with maltol for toffee. The recorded notes run to citrus, cooked fruit, new wood, a nutty edge, a sherried hint and vanilla. A vintage Richly Matured Knockando.
