Description
The Master Reserve 21 Years Old is Knockando's older vintage line, this distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2018, matured in ex-Bourbon. Knockando, a Speyside distillery of 1898 and the home of the J&B blend, dates its whisky by vintage.
In Diageo hands today, the distillery makes a light, elegant Speyside spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks across twenty-one years, the wood deepened the malt.
Bottled at 43%. The ex-Bourbon cask gives vanilla and coconut from vanillin and oak lactones, with a toffee edge. The recorded notes run to vanilla, chocolate, cooked fruit, dried fruit, fresh fruit and a husky edge. An older Master Reserve vintage.
