This Knockando was distilled in 1990 and bottled by Justerini & Brooks in 2003, the house behind the J&B blend Knockando anchors. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, dates its bottlings by distillation year.
Under Diageo today, the distillery makes a light, fine Speyside malt. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks across thirteen years, the wood frames the malt.
Bottled at 43%. Vanillin from the ex-Bourbon reads as vanilla, oak lactones as coconut, maltol as toffee. A J&B-bottled vintage from the home of the blend.
