This Knockando was distilled in 1988 and bottled by Justerini & Brooks in 2000, the house behind the J&B blend Knockando anchors. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, dates its bottlings by distillation year.
Diageo-owned now, Knockando produces a light, fine Speyside spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over twelve years, the oak frames the malt cleanly.
Bottled at 43%. The ex-Bourbon lends vanilla through vanillin, coconut through oak lactones, and a toffee note from maltol. A J&B-bottled vintage from the home of the blend.
