This Knockando was distilled in 1987 and bottled by Justerini & Brooks in 1999, the house behind the J&B blend Knockando anchors. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, dates its bottlings by distillation year in a matured not aged style.
In Diageo hands today, the distillery makes a light, elegant Speyside spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon, the wood shapes the malt over its twelve years.
Bottled at 43%. From the ex-Bourbon come vanilla and coconut, its vanillin and oak lactones, with maltol for toffee. A J&B-bottled vintage from the home of the blend.
