Description
This Knockando was distilled in 1975 and bottled by Justerini & Brooks in 1987, the blending house behind J&B, which Knockando has long anchored. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, dates its bottlings by distillation year in a matured not aged style.
In Diageo hands today, the distillery makes a light, elegant Speyside spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the wood frames the malt cleanly over twelve years.
Bottled at 43%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for toffee. An early J&B-bottled vintage from the home of the blend.
