Signatory bottled this 15 year old 2010 Knockando for its Cask Strength Collection from Oloroso cask 8, an outturn of 337 bottles. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, is the heart of the J&B blend and is rarely seen sherried at full strength.
Now part of Diageo, Knockando makes a light, fine Speyside spirit. Matured in a single Oloroso cask over fifteen years, the sherry wood pulls the malt towards dried fruit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.7%. The Oloroso gives dried fruit, melanoidins reading as fig and raisin, with a walnut dryness, the full strength lifting the soft Speyside malt. A sherried cask strength single-cask Knockando.
