Description
This 12 year old was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2012, a vintage-dated core Knockando with Oloroso alongside the bourbon. The Speyside distillery, founded in 1898, is the heart of the J&B blend and dates each bottling by distillation year.
Under Diageo today, the distillery makes a light, fine Speyside malt. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks, the two woods give vanilla and a touch of dried fruit.
Bottled at 43%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Oloroso dried fruit. The recorded notes run to dried fruit, a malt extract note, citrus, fresh fruit, a hay-like edge and honey. A vintage-dated core Knockando.
