Description
This 12 year old was distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2008 for the Netherlands, a vintage-dated core Knockando. The Speyside distillery, founded in 1898, is the heart of the J&B blend and dates each bottling by distillation year.
Now part of Diageo, Knockando makes a light, fine Speyside spirit. Twelve years in ex-Bourbon casks frames the malt cleanly.
Bottled at 43%. The ex-Bourbon cask gives vanilla and coconut from vanillin and oak lactones, with a toffee edge. The recorded notes run to chocolate, citrus, cooked fruit, dried fruit, fresh fruit and honey. A vintage-dated core Knockando.
