Description
This is part of The Wills Family Cask Collection, honouring Peter Wills, one of the founders' sons, bottled by La Maison du Whisky. A Port single cask from 2014, number 483. An outturn of 300 bottles for France. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony and Kathy Wills in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.
Malting, distilling and bottling all happen on the farm, the barley to bottle way. Matured in a single Port cask, the wine wood adds a plummy note to the peated spirit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.6%. The Port gives plum and cherry with a jammy sweetness while peat phenols carry the smoke. A family-themed Port single cask.
