This Kilchoman The Netherlands is a Small Batch Release No. 1 for the Dutch market, vatted from ex-Bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks. An outturn of 1,260 bottles. Kilchoman, the island's only farm distillery, was founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.
At Rockside Farm the whole process runs from barley to bottle on one site. Matured across ex-Bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks, the PX brings a sweet dark fruit to the mix.
Bottled at 47%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Oloroso fig, the Pedro Ximenez raisin and date, all from their melanoidins, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A sweet, multi-cask small batch for the Netherlands.
