Description
This Small Batch Port is a French Exclusive bottled by La Maison du Whisky, vatted from ex-Bourbon, Port and Oloroso casks. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.
Malting, distilling and bottling all happen on the farm, the barley to bottle way. Matured across ex-Bourbon, Port and Oloroso casks, the Port adds a plummy note to the bourbon and sherry.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 47.6%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Port plum and cherry, the Oloroso dried fruit, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A Port-led small batch for a French specialist.
