Description
This Single Cask Release is a 6 year old from 2011 matured in Pedro Ximenez, cask 454. An outturn of 264 bottles for the Netherlands. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is Islay's only farm distillery.
The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm. Matured in a single Pedro Ximenez cask, the sweetest of the sherry styles, the wood pulls the young peated spirit towards dark fruit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.8%. The Pedro Ximenez gives raisin and date from its melanoidins while peat phenols carry the smoke. A young PX single cask for the Netherlands.
